Career Coaching for women in leadership

1:1 Career & Leadership Coaching

Private coaching for women who want space to think clearly, make grounded decisions, and create work that fits the life they actually want.

This is an uninterrupted, supportive time to reflect on your career and leadership choices without pressure, guilt, or needing to have all the answers upfront.

Together, we work from awareness rather than urgency, so decisions come from clarity and self-trust, not exhaustion or expectation.

This work is for you if you’re ready to stop carrying it all alone and want a thoughtful, steady partner as you navigate what’s next.

My Story

Hi, I'm Charlie,

I’ve worked in careers and coaching for over a decade, supporting women as they navigate work, leadership, and life transitions.

I began my career as a careers adviser in 2009, before training as a coach in 2015. Over time, my work naturally shifted towards supporting women in leadership, particularly those navigating change, responsibility, and the invisible load that often sits alongside capable, high-functioning lives.

What I noticed again and again was not a lack of ability, but a lack of space. Space to think, to reflect, and to make decisions from clarity rather than pressure.

This work grew from a desire to offer that space, thoughtful, steady, and grounded, so women don’t have to carry it all alone.

What informs my work

My approach is shaped not just by training, but by lived experience. I know what it’s like to question long-held beliefs, to reassess how work fits alongside family life, and to make conscious changes rather than just trying to simply push harder. Alongside professional training and supervision, this personal work informs how I hold space for others; with empathy, clarity, and respect for complexity.

This means I don’t rush solutions. We work thoughtfully, with awareness first and action that follows.

Working from clarity

You don’t have to work this out on your own. We create space to slow down, reflect, and understand what’s really shaping your choices, so next steps are grounded and intentional, not reactive.

Rather than forcing a plan, we work together to clarify what matters to you now and shape decisions that align with your values, responsibilities, and capacity. The result is a steadier sense of confidence and calm in how you move forward (in the direction you choose).

How the work unfolds

This coaching is not about fixing or fast-tracking.

The work unfolds through ongoing awareness, reflection, and intentional choice — returning again and again to what matters, what’s influencing you, and how you want to respond.

Rather than following a rigid process, the focus is on:

noticing patterns and assumptions as they arise
creating space to think and feel clearly
making decisions that align with values, responsibilities, and capacity
Action happens naturally from clarity, not pressure. Over time, this builds steadier confidence, self-trust, and a way of working that feels sustainable and true.

What tends to shift during this work

This coaching supports greater clarity and steadiness in how you approach work and leadership.

Over time, clients often notice:

  • increased confidence in their decisions

  • a clearer sense of values and priorities

  • less second-guessing and internal pressure

  • a more sustainable way of working that fits alongside life

The changes aren’t about becoming someone new — they come from understanding yourself more deeply and responding with intention rather than habit.

What my lovely clients say

case study taking back control your time to grow coaching

"I have more belief in myself. I found that I am more capable than I gave myself credit for. I can do things I never thought I could because fear and lack of confidence stopped me. I have found "me" again; friends have noticed that I am back to my old self: fun, confident and strong"

Jenny Skuse testimonial personal coaching

After an amazing session with Charlie, I sat down to really think about what I achieved. I'm floored by what I did without really ever thinking it through. I had a vision of what I wanted and I worked until it became reality. I had so much love, support and help on the way, but largely, I did it by myself. I created something and in the process found out how capable I truly am."

The SHINE framework

SHINE is the reflective framework that underpins this coaching work. Rather than a set of steps to follow, it offers a way of understanding how awareness, insight, and intentional change develop over time.

We move in and out of these elements as needed, returning to them as circumstances shift. The framework supports depth, integration, and self-trust.

Understanding patterns

If it’s helpful, this short video explores some of the protective patterns that often show up particularly when responsibility is high and space is limited.

This is simply an invitation to notice what might feel familiar, and to understand how awareness can create more choice.

Meet your coach

Hi, I’m Charlie.

I’m a coach with a background in careers and leadership, and I work with women who want space to think clearly, reflect honestly, and make grounded choices about their work and lives.

What I value most in this work is creating a space where people feel heard without judgment; where clarity can emerge naturally, and confidence grows from understanding rather than being pushed.

Charlotte is a reassuring, friendly, non-judgemental coach, providing careful and considered advice. In our session together, during a period of lockdown, Charlotte took the time to research what I do before we spoke and was able to coach me through the concerns I had by asking some deep, constructive questions that gave clarity and provided guidance on the next steps. I came away with the reassurance that she was there for future support if I needed her and a plan that I could, and have, implemented.
