Taking Off the Armour | An 8-Week Journey from People Pleasing, Perfectionism & Over-Responsibility to Self-Trust

Taking Off The Armour

An 8-Week Journey for Women Who Are Tired of Carrying Everything

What if you are not lacking confidence? What if you are protecting yourself?

Many high-performing women have spent years learning how to stay safe through people-pleasing, perfectionism, over-functioning, hiding, performing, or carrying everything themselves.

These protective strategies often begin with good intentions: to belong, succeed, avoid rejection, stay safe and to be loved. And for a while, they work. They help us achieve, cope, adapt and survive.

But over time, they can become heavy. You may find yourself exhausted from holding everything together. Successful on the outside, yet disconnected from yourself. Capable, but carrying more than feels sustainable.

Taking Off the Armour is an opportunity to understand what you're carrying, why you're carrying it, and how to put some of it down.

You Might Recognise Yourself Here...

You feel responsible for everyone and everything

You hold yourself to standards you would never expect from anyone else

You struggle to rest without guilt, even when you're exhausted

You keep going, even when you are running on empty

What is Armour?

Armour isn't weakness, it is protection. It develops through life experiences, expectations, relationships and environments where we learn:

"I need to be good."

"I need to be strong."

"I need to get it right."

"I need to keep everyone happy."

"I need to do it myself."

"I mustn't be too much."

The challenge isn't that these strategies exist.

It's when they become our default way of living.

What once protected us can eventually exhaust us.

COURAGE TO BE SEEN

This programme isn't about becoming less ambitious or caring less or lowering your standards. It's about understanding what you're carrying, deciding what is truly yours to hold, and creating a healthier relationship with yourself.

The women who complete this programme often describe feeling lighter, because they're no longer carrying everything alone.

If you've recognised yourself anywhere on this page, you may already be ready.

You don't need to become someone different.

You simply need the courage to meet yourself underneath the armour.

Meet Your Coach

If you've recognised yourself anywhere on this page, you're not alone. I know these patterns because I've lived them too.

For years, I wore the armour of the Good Girl and the Overachiever. I tried to be all things to all people. I didn't say what I really thought. I worked harder and harder to prove myself. I worried about disappointing people. I hid parts of myself because they didn't feel safe to share.

Eventually that armour became exhausting. The work that changed my life wasn't learning how to do more; it was learning how to understand myself.

Today I help women develop the awareness, confidence and self-trust to create lives that feel more aligned, fulfilling and authentic.

My philosophy is simple:

Awareness Before Action. Because lasting change starts with understanding ourselves first.

What Women Are Saying

  • "My biggest lightbulb moment was realising that my armour wasn't protecting me. It was protecting other people from my too-muchness.

For years I'd believed I needed to be less, quieter, easier, more manageable. Understanding that changed everything." - Suzzy

"I have more belief in myself. I found that I am more capable than I gave myself credit for. I can do things I never thought I could because fear and lack of confidence stopped me. I have found "me" again; friends have noticed that I am back to my old self: fun, confident and strong"

After an amazing session with Charlie, I sat down to really think about what I achieved. I'm floored by what I did without really ever thinking it through. I had a vision of what I wanted and I worked until it became reality. I had so much love, support and help on the way, but largely, I did it by myself. I created something and in the process found out how capable I truly am."

Charlotte is a reassuring, friendly, non-judgemental coach, providing careful and considered advice. In our session together, during a period of lockdown, Charlotte took the time to research what I do before we spoke and was able to coach me through the concerns I had by asking some deep, constructive questions that gave clarity and provided guidance on the next steps. I came away with the reassurance that she was there for future support if I needed her and a plan that I could, and have, implemented.
